How Can You Run a Curved Cornhole™ Tournament?

Running a Curved Cornhole™ tournament is fun and an exciting new way to bring people together and enjoy a friendly competition. Here are some steps to help you plan and run a successful Curved Cornhole™ tournament:

  1. Determine the format of the tournament: Decide on the format of your tournament, such as single elimination, double elimination, round-robin, or a combination of formats. Determine the number of teams that will participate and choose an appropriate bracket.
  2. Set the rules and regulations: Set the rules and regulations for the tournament, including the scoring system, time limits, equipment standards, and any other guidelines you want to establish.
  3. Promote the tournament: Spread the word through social media, flyers, and word of mouth. Make sure to include important details such as the date, time, location, format, rules, & registration information.
  4. Register participants: Set up a registration process and collect entry fees. Provide information on how to sign up, payment methods, and registration deadlines. We like use online tools, such as Eventbrite (https://www.eventbrite.com/) to handle our ticketing and registration process.
  5. Plan the tournament schedule: Once you know how many teams will participate, create a schedule that outlines the times and locations of each game. Make sure to factor in breaks and time for setup and cleanup.
  6. Prepare for the event: On the day of the tournament, set up the playing area, including the boards, bags, and scorekeeping system. Make sure there is plenty of space for spectators, and refreshments and snacks for purchase!
  7. Conduct the tournament: Follow the schedule and rules you established, and make sure to keep track of scores and advance teams to the next round. Encourage good sportsmanship and fair play, and have fun!  To simplify this process, we like to use the Scoreholio app (https://fwango.io/) to manage teams and track the tournament standings.
  8. Award prizes: After the tournament is over, award prizes to the winners. Consider offering cash prizes, trophies, or other awards such as casino or drink vouchers, or even free night stays at hotels.

With these steps, you can run a successful Curved Cornhole™ tournament and have a great time!
